iOS 11 on the iPad

Apple previewed the iOs 11 update during the WWDC conference this year. Ever since, it has gathered a lot of attention with regard to its usability. It is Apples first big step towards making the iPad a laptop replacement. Few features which are definitely going to change the way we use the iPad and add new users to it.

Drag and Drop

Drag and drop is such an obvious feature it’s almost hard to believe it wasn’t present before.

When two apps – Word and Safari, for example – are open next to each other, you can drag text from one to the other. That’s fine, although not overly mind-blowing. Things get more interesting with pictures, which can be selected from apps such as Photo and dropped into documents and emails. Using your fingers to move items between apps feels far more intuitive than using a mouse

New Control Centre

One of the biggest UI changes in iOS 11 is the Control Centre. Being able to edit and remove shortcuts I never use makes it fun to use and customise.

Apple today released six new videos highlighting iOS 11 features for iPad. Hope you enjoy the videos and the new experience of iOS 11.

iOS 11 is scheduled to release in September along with the new iPhone 8 iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus
