Apple is bringing back the iPad Air to further expand the iPad line-up. The California-based company on Monday unveiled the new 10.5-inch iPad Air as well as an upgraded iPad mini model that will succeed the company’s existing iPad mini 4. The company has ditched the numbers from the branding and is simply calling the new models as the new iPad Air and the new iPad mini respectively. According to the company, the new iPad Air (2019) and iPad mini (2019) models pack the A12 Bionic chip, an advanced Retina display, and support for Apple Pencil. The iPad (2018) and both iPad Pro models will continue to be available, however, the iPad mini 4 seems to have been stopped.
Both iPads support Nano-SIM, Electronic SIM card (eSIM) and Stylus. Both have a storage capacity of 64/256 GB and a 3GB RAM support. The main camera comes with an 8 MP, f/2.4, 31mm (standard), 1.12µm, AF with HDR and shoots at 1080p@30fps and a front camera of 7 MP, f/2.2, 31mm (standard) with HDR and shoots at 1080p@30fps, and yes both have a 3.5mm headphone jack. The iPad mini and the iPad Air are available in 7.9 and 10.5 inch respectively. Both iPads are available in Space Gray, Silver, Gold.
iPad Air (2019) and iPad mini (2019) price in India
In India, the Wifi only iPad Air has been priced at Rs. 44,900 for the 64GB version and at Rs. 58,900 for the 256GB version. The Wifi + Cellular version will retail at Rs. 55,900 for the 64GB version, whereas the 256GB model will cost Rs. 69,900. The iPad mini pricing starts at Rs. 34,900 for the 64GB Wi-Fi only model and goes up to Rs. 48,900 for the 256GB model. The 64GB variant of the Wi-Fi + Cellular iPad mini has been priced at Rs. 45,900 and the 256GB variant will retail at Rs. 59,900.
